    • SOCW 200-3 - Introduction to Social Work Practice
    • SOCW 201-3 - Introduction to Social Welfare
    • FNST 100-3 - The Aboriginal Peoples of Canada
    • WMST 100-3 - Introduction to Women's Studies

    Non-Academic

    • successfully complete a Criminal Record Check
    • Volunteer and paid human service experience
    • Three (3) confidential Reference forms
    • Statement of Intent 

    Admission Advice

    1. Admission to this program is limited and is based on academic qualifications and available space. 

    2. Your grade point average for admission will be calculated based on your most recent 60 credits of undergraduate study.

    3. Use BC Transfer Guide to search course equivalency of UNBC SOCW 200, SOCW 201, FNST 100 and WMST 100 if you are transferring from another post-secondary institution.

If you do not have the prerequisites for the courses you wish to take, it's possible to upgrade by taking Career and College Preparation courses along with selected university credit courses.
